Delve into the art of water carving to enhance your ceramic work. In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore different ways of applying hot wax to greenware to unique textural effects. Shannon will share her personal approach, using tools from her Ukrainian background to develop beautiful patterns and textures. These traditional tools and techniques will offer you a fresh way to elevate your ceramic craft. 

All skill levels are welcome.

Students will be provided with 3 bone dry porcelain cups to decorate.

We will break for lunch, please bring your own. Ukrainian treats will be provided!

Students will need to bring:
A few brushes you don’t mind getting waxy!
Hand Towel
Sponge(s)
Optional:
A few cups, mugs, or other vessels that are bone dry — porcelain is best
Underglazes and/or slips of your choice
Apron, Notebook
